HOTA, Home of the Arts, is the Gold Coast's premier cultural precinct, offering a dynamic hub for creativity, performance, and artistic expression. Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, HOTA is where art meets nature, with its stunning lakeside location and views of the Gold Coast skyline providing a picturesque backdrop for a diverse range of events and activities.

The centerpiece of HOTA is its state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, which hosts everything from music concerts and festivals to theater productions and community events. The precinct is also home to an impressive indoor theater, exhibition spaces, and a cutting-edge art gallery. Opened in 2021, the HOTA Gallery is the largest public gallery outside of a capital city in Australia, featuring a rotating roster of contemporary and historical exhibitions, both local and international.

HOTA is not just about visual art; it offers a broad spectrum of cultural experiences, including film screenings, comedy nights, dance performances, and educational workshops for all ages. With its buzzing café, rooftop bar, and tranquil parklands, it’s a vibrant destination where locals and tourists alike can immerse themselves in creativity, culture, and connection.

Whether you’re looking to catch a live performance, explore groundbreaking art, or simply relax in beautiful surroundings, HOTA is a cultural landmark that embodies the Gold Coast's growing reputation as a vibrant and forward-thinking arts destination.

Home of the $32 million City Collection, HOTA Gallery presents international exhibitions exclusive to Australia alongside the work of local artists. Designed by international architects ARM and spanning six levels, the Gallery has the capacity for touring exhibitions of an international size and scale alongside exhibition spaces for the City Collection and temporary exhibitions, and a dedicated Children’s Gallery.
