This year Hinze Dam turns 50! Built across the Nerang River, Hinze Dam has played a vital role in water security since its construction in 1976. It was raised in 1989 and significantly upgraded in 2011 to increase its storage capacity and enhance flood mitigation.
This guided tour will give you a unique insight into how Seqwater manages Hinze Dam to supply safe and reliable drinking water.
Whether you're curious about dam construction and management, the dam’s role in managing floods and droughts, or simply keen to see the dam wall up close, this tour is for you!
