This newly completed library refurbishment reimagines what a school library can be. Developed through a unique collaboration between the architects, school staff, and Year 3 students, the result is a vibrant, imaginative environment that challenges conventional expectations and becomes a true showpiece for contemporary educational design.
The fit-out offers a diverse range of flexible spaces — from full-class teaching zones to quiet nooks for individual retreat, as well as collaborative areas for group learning and lunchtime escape. While it supports the traditional functions of a library, the design pushes boundaries to create a space that is as playful as it is purposeful.
During Gold Coast Open House, the architects were onsite to offer guided tours and insights into the design process and broader campus development, highlighting how co-design and innovation are reshaping learning environments.
