Flor Wine & Grocer is a neighbourhood Wine Store & Grocer located in the heart of Burleigh Heads. The store was designed by local practice AJAR Studio with the design approach reflecting the intentions of the store: to contribute, provide & engage with the community.

The design injected a restrained yet cheerful pop of colour to the streetscape, a raw yet formed display, & an arms height bifold window with a spot for a wine glass. The interior timber insertion acts a single gesture that performs both as shelving, and a divider creating distinct zones within the store.

For Open House 2025 Ajar Studio's designer Ben Cutajar led guests through the story of how the store was conceived, designed & built.
