Join architect and urbanist Peter Richards for a sketching demonstration followed by an urban design sketching session on the HOTA grounds. With more than four decades of experience in the design of neighbourhoods, urban precincts and planning for new cities, Peter is highly regarded in the urban sketching community with his ability to blend his artistic skills and wealth of experience as a strategic design thinker.
Participants should bring:
- Paper/sketchbook
- Pens, paints and brushes
- Hat (optional)
- Folding chair (optional)
Peter Richards is an architect, urban designer and author who for many years led the practice of Deicke Richards in Brisbane and is now Principal at Archipelago. Apart from his reputation as one of the best urban sketches nationally and internationally, Peter is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Design at QUT.
Please note that the HOTA precinct will be busy on the morning of this event with the regular HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets. Please consider public transport or allow sufficient time to find a car park.
