2020 Gold Coast and Northern Rivers AIA Regional Awards and Commended Buildings
The awards program offers an opportunity for public and peer recognition of the innovative work of our Queensland architects. The program also provides the Institute with a valuable mechanism to promote architects and architecture within Queensland, across Australia and internationally.
The Australian Institute of Architects Awards Program enables public and peer recognition of the innovative work of our members, and provides the Institute with a valuable mechanism to promote architects and architecture across Australia and internationally.
The National Architecture Awards is an integrated, hierarchical program resulting in annual awards at National, Chapter (State and Territory) and, in QLD, Regional levels. To enter the National Architecture Awards, Institute members submit projects at the relevant chapter or regional level depending on the project’s location.
Awards in each category are based on a three-tier system, in decreasing order of merit. Only State or Territory Named and Architecture Awards progress to be considered for a National Award.
Congratulations to the following Gold Coast Northern Rivers Buildings that have been awarded by the Institute of Architects at regional level.
As we finalise our exclusive list of buildings, places and interesting tours for 2021, we will reveal all you can see and do along with the untold stories of the making of our city.
Gold Coast Open House proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our events are held, the Kombumerri and Yugambeh Language Group families of the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connections to the lands, waters, wildlife and extended communities throughout South East Queensland.
