Join Seqwater for a behind the scenes look at Hinze Dam, located in the Gold Coast hinterland. Built across the Nerang River Hinze Dam was originally constructed in 1976, raised in 1989 and significantly upgraded in 2011. Hinze Dam is the main drinking water supply for the Gold Coast region.
The tour will showcase how Seqwater manages Hinze Dam to supply safe drinking water and provide flood mitigation. Participants will have an opportunity to walk the dam wall, visit the Fishway and view the Pumphouse before returning to Hinze Dam Visitors Centre.
