This walking tour of the Northshore Hinterland neighbourhood of Varsity Lakes includes a generous selection of early gentle density examples inspired by Paul Eagles during his tenure with Lendlease.
This walk complements the 2023 Gold Coast Urban Design Award for Leadership conferred to Paul, awarded for his “…consistent leadership across various roles in Queensland delivering transformative sustainable community planning and development, affordable housing and urban design direction and management…”.
A key selection of these emerging housing prototypes has been designed by degenhartSHEDD architecture + urban design, while all examples were shaped by design guides that still serve as excellent examples of the characteristics that facilitate greater densities – up to 60 dwellings per hectare – hiding in plain sight in our residential neighbourhoods.
The walk will be an hour in duration.
