Ask an Architect

Thinking about renovating, extending, building a new home, or simply wondering how an architect could help bring your ideas to life?

As part of Gold Coast Open House, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects invites members of the public to Ask an Architect, a free opportunity to sit down with a local architect for an informal, one-on-one conversation about your home, project or design ideas.

Whether you are at the very beginning of a project, considering the possibilities for an existing property, or have questions about design, sustainability, adapting or extending your home, this is an opportunity to talk through your ideas and better understand how an architect can help.

How it works

Bookings are available in 45-minute sessions, commencing from 10.00am, with three appointments running concurrently throughout the day.

You are invited to bring along plans, photographs, sketches, inspiration or other information that may help the conversation, or simply come with your questions.

Sessions will be held at professional offices in Surfers Paradise. Full venue details will be provided to registered participants prior to the event.

Places are limited and advance registration is essential.

Ask an Architect is intended as an introductory and general discussion. The session does not constitute formal architectural, planning, building, engineering or other professional advice.
