Cloudview is a rainforest cabin designed for a weekend getaway, sitting around a fire and enjoying a glass of wine. It is located at the top of the range at Springbrook with views over the Tweed Valley to the Tweed Coast up to the Gold Coast.
Views from the living spaces are maximised by the roof design and the U-shaped building plan which separates the two bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. The roof is designed to capture water in the centre of the U - essential as there is no town water on site - and to easily maintain the roof gutters in the leafy rainforest environment. The interiors are dark and moody allowing the building interiors to recede and the rainforest backdrop to be the focus.
