Cal Somni is an updated vision of the classic Aussie beach shack, seen through the eyes of the owners and designers after working and residing in Barcelona for the past 20 years. It bucks the trend of current Australian development. It conscientiously chooses to stay within its original humble footprint and maximise native vegetation in this coastal dune area. The renovation process was a wonderful dance with a large selection of incredible builders and craftsmen who all enjoyed the unique process of being involved in this project.
Meet the Master Builder, Bare Builds’ Taurey Wiesel and Blankslates’s designer Crick King in a tour of the property at midday on both Saturday 12 October and Sunday 13 October - no booking needed. This is an informal chance to dig deeper into the creative and technical side of this project; materials, construction problems and solutions, flood mitigation and sustainability.
