HOTA, Home of the Arts

Ever wanted to see the inner workings of the Gold Coast’s home for arts, culture and civic celebration? Take a self-guided look at the city’s newest venue or enjoy a guided tour of the whole precinct and parklands.

Surrounded by parkland and lake with Surfers Paradise as the backdrop, HOTA is the place for live performances, lake-side strolls, star-gazing, cinemawatching, art and new-ideas. There’s a new outdoor stage for live events and a refreshed cafe. Plus, all the favourites, like our cinemas, theatres and our current gallery.

The newly completed Outdoor Stage is a showpiece in the city’s cultural infrastructure. The guided tours will also provide insight into the exciting plans for future stages of the cultural precinct project.

Hear from newly commissioned artists Libby Harward and Fiona Watson at the Walls of Art talk as they discuss designing new works for public space.

From 3pm, join Dancing on the Green, a free music and dance event at the Outdoor Stage
