Envi Micro Urban Village

It is no secret that Millennials are having a hard time making the ‘leap’ into the housing market by purchasing their first home, particularly as they try to balance affordability and lifestyle ambitions.

In the Gold Coast of 2018 - more specifically, its Central Business District of Southport - an experiment that might help solve this issue is underway in the form of ENVI Micro Urban Village, a new kind of development that is becoming a favourite of first home owners.

The concept is simple: affordable, highquality, high-density housing—not on the suburban fringe but in the middle of the action, with health and recreation amenities, public transport, shopping, restaurants, cafes, schools, parklands and, most important of all, employment  opportunities.

What makes this concept new is the way it is transforming one ordinary and inefficient inner-city house block into ten new ones, each fully owned in a fee simple (freehold) format.

The $3.5m micro urban village features house and land product on lots as small as 60m2, the first time CBD style urban freehold lots have been approved of this size on the Gold Coast.

Houses at ENVI provide the option of not accommodating a car, and instead having a generous outdoor area created, despite the micro lot size.

See first-hand the positive impact this innovative village could have in resolving the Gold Coast’s ever-growing housing crisis.
